How To Set Up Your Essential Oil Wellness Box


doTERRA offers a monthly wellness box service. It is called the Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP) and it is an excellent way to make sure you always have your favorite oils on hand. It also helps you to earn points that can be traded in for free products. And who couldn't use some free essential oils, right?

Top Benefits of a Monthly Wellness Box (LRP Order)

  • Make sure you always have a steady supply of your favorite essential oils and wellness products. If you purchase and use essential oils on a regular basis this is hands down the best way to order your oils. If you find that you have plenty of a particular product, simply remove it from your order until you need it again. Since you can edit the order whenever you want, you can make sure you are getting just what you need.

  • Earn a percent back. You will receive at least 10 percent back on your LRP orders of 50 PV or higher. (If you are just starting out and select certain enrollment kits, your starting percentage may be higher.) The longer you participate in the program, the larger percentage you get back on your purchases until you reach 30 percent at 13 months.

  • Use your points like cash to purchase doTERRA products. The percentage you earn back through ordering on the program is added to your account through product credits that can be applied to future purchases.

  • Earn the Product of the Month. If your monthly LRP is set to at least 125 PV and is submitted on or before the 15th each month, you join the Product of the Month club, and will receive a free product with your LRP order. 


Getting Started

1. Sign up as a Wellness Advocate or Wholesale Customer. By paying the nominal initial set up fee ($35- which is waved if you buy a starter kit), you will be able to make all of your doTERRA purchases at the wholesale price (discount of 25%) and be eligible to earn free products through the LRP. Get more info on how to open your doTERRA account here.

2. For new members, select your enrollment kit. Depending on the enrollment kit you choose, you will start earning at least 10% back on your LRP orders. You can increase the percentage you earn back by consistently submitting LRP orders each month. The following chart shows how to move from 10% to 30% back.

3. Select the day of the month that you would like your LRP orders to process. Make sure you select a date on or before the 15th of the month so you will be eligible to participate in the Product of the Month Club to receive a free product each month with a qualifying order.

4. Add products to your order. Since this is a recurring monthly order, you will want to add products that you use frequently and always want to have on hand. Some common regulars are LemonLavenderMelaleuca, and On Guard Protective Blend. If you use other doTERRA products like Deep Blue Rub, InTune Focus Blend, Copaiba Softgels, or DigestZen Softgels, don't forget to add those too. To earn LRP points for future purchases, the order must have at least 50 PV. If you want to participate in the Product of the Month Club, the order must have at least 125 PV.

5. Check out immediately or save your oder to process on the date you selected. It's that simple! Your LRP order will continue to process as set up every month on the date you selected unless you go in and make changes. You can adjust the date, add or remove items from your order, redeem points, and change payment and shipping information. Just remember to make your changes prior to your processing date. 

Loyalty Rewards Program Text Reminders

One of the best parts of an LRP order is that you can totally forget about it and your must have essential oils will still show up at your door on a monthly basis. One less thing to worry about. However, if you want to make a change or review the order before it goes out, you might not want to completely forget about it. Opt in to receive text reminders that your LRP order will process soon and that your LRP order has shipped.

  1. Log in to

  2. Click your name in the top right corner.

  3. Select "Account Profile" from the menu.

  4. Scroll down to "My Notification Settings".

  5. Click "Manage Notification Preferences".

  6. This will bring you to a new page where you can click the box to receive a Loyalty Order reminder text a couple days before your Loyalty Order is set to process as well as an initial shipping notification when your orders ship.

  7. Click the "Save" button


Note: You must have a mobile number in order to opt-in to the text reminder. To add a moblie number follow these steps:

  1. Click on the edit pencil under "My profile" at the top of the "Account Profile" page.

  2. Enter the mobile number.

  3. Click the "Save" button.

Some common questions about the Loyalty Rewards Program:


Q. Do I HAVE to place an order each month to have a doTERRA membership?


A. NO. For a normal wholesale or wellness advocate account, you don't. For those who opt-in to start receiving monthly subscription boxes, YES. You need to place an order each month to "hold" your subscription open.  You can place a minimal order (10 PV) and it will keep your subscription open for you.  You won't earn any new points or advance in percentage that month, but you won't lose your spot or your points.

To advance in percentage back and move from 10% to 30%, you need to maintain an order of 50 PV or more each month. 100 PV or more is required if you are participating in the business and would like to earn a commission.


Q. Will I get the same products each month?


A.  You have full control over your template. It is customizable to any product you want to purchase. You can change it up with each order. If you forget to change your order by the ship date you have set, you will receive the items from your last saved template on auto ship.



Q. What's the Product of the Month Club?


A. For those of us receiving our Loyalty Rewards subscription boxes, if our orders process BEFORE the 15th of the month AND your total is 125 PV or higher, you'll automatically be sent a fun freebie. There have been some great oils sent as Product of the Month oils. LOVE this little bit of TLC from from the company. It's always nice to get!



Q. Can I change my shipping address and payment information?


A. Yes! Both of these are customizable whenever you need or would like to make changes.



Q. Is it really worth it?


A. If you only use the products once or twice a year, maybe the Loyalty Rewards Program subscription box isn't for you. But if you find yourself purchasing a few products a month, then YES you'll definitely benefit from buying this way. Q. I thought oils lasted a long time and you only needed to use a tiny amount at a time. Won't I run out of things to buy?


A. I wondered about this too when I first started. But, the company has an amazing product catalog filled with additional wellness items that is expanding each year. They have skin care, hair care, supplements, home and cleaning, etc. It's really great. What we've found is that we shop our own store first- this pays us back and we LOVE the products. Subsequently, we rarely purchase these kinds of products anywhere else and end up skipping a lot of the aisles in a traditional store. Love that! We have a steady rotation of oils and other products coming into the house and find that we use them for a lot more than we ever thought we would.
